Hi everyone! My name is Ralph and I own a 71 Camaro Z28 with the original #'s matching LT1, Turbo 350, Flowmaster exhaust and 17" Boyd Timeless 5 wheels... I am hoping to turn my car into a g-machine and after finding this site, i think i'd can do that... I hope there are people near my area (Pleasanton/Dublin/San Ramon, Ca)... here are a couple of pics of my car....

Welcome to the site, I am new myself...but have found the guys to be friendly and from the forum posts, full of knowledge. The clean look of the black on black looks sweet on your 71. I look forward to seeing more pics (engine, interior ect...). It looks lowered, have you done suspension mods? I have always liked the looks of the early 70's Camaros, nice to see another second gen on the site.

oh man bro man, very very very nice car! There are very few cars more classic than the early-70's camaros... I love the blend of european style and american muscle. Very clean, very sharp!

Hey Ralph,
That's a great looking 71. I am currently working on my 73 Camaro, but it doesn't look nearly as nice as yours. I do love these cars though. I'm currently going to school in Northridge, but I plan on moving to the San Ramon area once I graduate this December. I do visit the area freqently. Anyways, great car.

thanks for the comments everyone! My dad and I found the car in an almond field and bought the car from an old retired farmer for $500 when i was 15... it had no wheels, no rear end, no intake or carb and no interior ( a dog was sleeping in the car )... we restored it and when i turned 16, my dad gave it to me... i've been daily driving it ever since...

I'm in Concord but work in your area. I might see you driving it around one of these days. Nice Camaro by the way. You almost miss the stripes if your not looking carefully.

Yea, they were intentionally supposed to be ghost stripes... i painted the car myself 4 years ago... my dad does body work and paint as a hobby and has taught me a thing or two... so i painted my car myself... first car ive ever done... didnt come out very good but i take pride in doing all my own work... here is a pic of the other cars my dad and i have built ourselves....

Very nice! I had a 1971 Camaro as well that at times I wish I never sold. I am 16 right now and I am fixing up my 1977 Firebird Formula and hopefully by the time its done I will have the racing out of my system before I drive a real car on the road! Good luck with whatever you can find to do to yours it looks complete!

I sold it because it needed alot more work than my Firebird and I was in the process of buying a Mustang at the time from my uncle that I later sold as well. The car needed quite a bit of body work and interior, not to mention it was a base Camaro with a 307 SBC and a TH350 transmission. I figured I would rather have the Firebird since it was a Formula 400 that came loaded with options like power windows, locks, tilt, A/C etc. incase I ever wanted to fix it up to sell it would bring more. Anyways I would have loved a real Z28 but I dont think I am ever gonna sell my bird.
