View Full Version : Goodguys Street Challenge Autocross
The first of 6 Goodguys Street Challenge Autocross's will be held this weekend at the Goodguys show in Atlanta at the NASCAR track south of the city. Since this is a first year show there should be a great opportunity to get some laps in before the crowds get wind of it. Air Ride Technologies, BF Goodrich, and Bowler Transmission among others are offering prizes. First prize is a set of BFG tires. There will be 2 classes, 1954 and older and 1955 and newer. There is no additional fee for running...just enter the Goodguys show and come over and run. We will have our 66 Chevelle, our 71 Camaro, and my 69 Mustang there. See you there!

Sure hope they have a similar event here at the Pleasanton, CA show later this year.

Not looking good for us SW and CA folks Mary, unless you want to drive to Ft. Worth, TX.... The autocross is only going to be at the Goodguys shows in:
Atlanta, Nashville, Kansas City, Joliet, Ft. Worth, and Charlotte.

Hey . . . us on the west coast want to scare pylons too!!! Bummer that we're not going to be able to.
I think the main problem with Pleasanton and other CA sites is the lack of an area they can dedicate to an autocross. Years ago, several clubs ran autocross events on that same area that Good Guys is on now. The rental and lack of available dates forced us out and we found other areas to have some autocross fun.
Oh well . . .
