It's supposed to sit on a c6 chassis, I kinda like it, it's pretty different but I'm not sure i'd pay 135,000 for it.

There will be a feature on it in the September PHR.

It's ALL of a C6 Vette.. all the safety, performance and such. It's just "re-skinned" to have a new look.

They can also build it on a Z06 platform.. imagin having what looks like a classic Chevy blow by you on the track.. lol

The real cost is $75k plus the car. If you find a C6 for cheap then the overall cost would be less. The perfect case would be a C6 with trashed body panels, but the rest perfect.

Looks odd. They should have picked a body style and stuck with it. Instead of mixing a shoe box style front with a 58 Impala sytle rear.

Not so much. The style is all over the place. The lines don't flow so well and as stated, they should have picked *one* iconic style and then offered another later.

Actually, I like it... at first I wasn't so sure, but the more I look at it, the more I have to say I like it. I think they are also working on a Corvette styled model too.

I think I remember that New York Times did an article on that a couple months ago.

I have mixed feelings. I too think they should have stuck to one style, but from a standalone perspective, it looks sorta cool and you KNOW it can perform. Not as well at high speed since there is obviously more frontal area now, but better than most of our cars with the aero of a bookshelf.

I saw that several months ago, don't like it or most any other make something else kit. For the money go buy a real one and hang Corvette parts on it the correct way

It makes me feel icky.

Mods should make a car look better, not worse.

I can appreciate the effort and engineering.

I'm just wondering what problem is being solved. Is there a huge pent-up demand for late 50s/early 60s Chevys?

jpI can hate something and be floored by the craftsmanship and execution. Part of the reason why I like animated movies so much.

I saw it in clay when I had to measure up the wheels for it. It's definitely "different".

Actually, the rear is 1959

The C6 thing looks bizarre.

The front looks good, the rear is hideous.

The next one is based on the Nomad.. less wild looking.. the rendering sure is sweet.

Remember, this car is for people without the skill or desire to "build one from scratch".. they want the ease of a new car and the look of a classic. The 789 is no harder to maintain than a C6 vette.

Not my gig, but I can see the market for a car like this.

You said it, Scott! That thing hurts to look at!

If you didn't clog your keyboard with puke, take a look at their "5to1" 61 Chev with a 55 nose!?!?!? Another abomination of otherwise nice cars hung on a C5 or 6. Ummmm, why??

To me the 57 is the true Chevrolet icon car and the 59 Impala was the sexiest car GM ever made..... Oddly enough, those cars original body lines look great. They are kind of like the 64-65 Riviera.... out of the box the cars are beautiful.... change the body lines and they are done...
