Morrison would be a great upgrade. They do really nice work. I have no experience with the Vette conversions. Have you called them?

Art's frames look TRICK, but I know little of them otherwise. There is another frame out there that uses C-4 'Vette stuff you may want to look at as well, but I can't remember the name of the company! Argh!

It's the SRIII.
Look on the web for SRIII motorsports.I think they have what you need. They are proud of them though!$$$

They convert the stock frame to allow the use of C4 corvette components.

I converted mine myself to the stock frame.C-4 suspension Is a pretty easy swap to most frames With a little planning and some time.By far it's the best thing that I have done to my vette!

You won't go wrong with either SRIII or AME. We just finished a 61 vette with SRIII C-4 stuff. It worked great. We used a 6 speed and ZR-1 engine in it. We have three AME frames in the shop right now too. It depends on whether you want an IRS or not and how much power your motor will be putting out. Either way you will be happy....

Thanks

Has anyone taken a C5 frame and attempted to mod it to work under the 1962? Wheelbase and track width aren't off more than an inch or two, are they?

Yeah, but...no worse than tubbing it, and it must help with 50/50 weight, no? My old man's '62 is tubbed so trunk is never going to be original again anyway.

The problem is the transmission is about right where you normally sit, not saying it can't be done but it's going to take a lot of fabrication.

Now that i'm laying it out in my mind, it would have to be right under where you are sitting, and would be pretty intrusive to the cockpit, wouldn't it?
