I finally got my new Stahl headers installed. The right side slipped right in. The left side I hade to remove the steering arm off of the box, and jack the engine up and to the right. I am also using adapter plates for now because I'm running stock Chevy "292" heads until I can afford to use my Brodix that have the Stahl bolt pattern. The headers are almost works of art. They fit great and tuck up tight. I now need to get new mufflers and 3" mandrel bent pipes. Any suggestions? I don't want flowmasters. I saw a dynomax system on Ebay, but I don't know how they sound. I did have "turbo" mufflers with 2.5" pipes before. I'll post pics soon...

It looks like the tubes are dented in, but they're not. It's just my grimy fingerprints ...:look:

1-3/4" primarys, and a 3" collector. I'm only puting out around 400-450 hp. I think it took around 2-3 weeks after I ordered them.

I didn't put a string across, but I don't think it's more than a 1/4" if even that.

Looks good. Are you using the adapter plates?

I am using the adapter plates for these heads. My Brodix heads have the Stahl pattern, so I won't need them then.

Jerry Stahl is quite possibly the biggest A hole in the Industry. He is arrogant beyond words. I had ordered a set of their Road Race headers for a 1st Gen F body. The RS was off over 2 1/2 inches from centerline at the collector. They hit the bellhousing so bad you couldn't even get the flange anywhere near being able to bolt to their adapter.

When I sent them back Jerry informed me that he was going to charge me $250 to fix them. I asked why???? He explained tha they were designed for the Penske Camaro and he did not know what they were exactly designed for?? I again asked why I had to pay and why he did not tell me this when I ordered them. He couldn't be bothered to explain this to me and hung up without saying even a word. I called back and got an even worse attitude. His own worker even explained what a jackass he is. I paid the $75 to return them. His wife is a nice woman but she to turns pretty fast when things go wrong. He sent me some email explaining he had some attention disorder but still refused to explain the fees or anything for that matter.

They are nice headers but far from the best. Not even because of the treatment justt tha they are nice not the best. Kooks are incredible in comparison and I didn't have to hear for 20 minutes how the entire automotive Industry owes them for stealing their designs.

Nice headers but not worth the BS. Ask around I am not the only person who has had problems with him.

I am glad yours worked out.

AS for mufflers I am thinking of Edelbrock SDT mufflers.
