Two piston rear calipers

I was looking at my wife's 02 Avalanche and it has twin piston rear calipers. Didn't know if anyone had looked at using them over the smal single piston 44mm Corvette/GTO caliper.

Those would be overkill for the rear and they're heavy. You would also need a 1.25 rotor. They would work on the front of a car. I looked at a set at a local junkyard only armed with a tape measure. Pistons looked to be around 1.75in. I could of got a nice set (looked next to brand new) for $25 a side.

Yea alot of trucks come with single piston rears.
