Say you want to post a neat little player in your thread showing your You tube vid.

Get the link for the video on youtube

Sample:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQcy0PMIb9k

copy everything after the = sign. (the vids ID number) in this case kQcy0PMIb9k

use the brakets to create the following tags

{yt}paste your videos id number here{/yt} (use the [] brackets instead.)

and yer done!

If you pause the video in the right spot you can see the
Interior is from a 2-gen firebird.. but at the end the video you see a 3 gen camaro going into space

Just a reminder

Here is a sample link showing the proper brackets. It MUST look just like this below. Nothing else will work. In between the brackets are the video number. Also, most or all the Youtube links have an = sign in front of the link. Do not paste the = sign.

If using Photobucket to host your vids...copy the link at the very bottom of the list of choices.(the one that says "IMG code")

How do you embed the larger youtube vids I see people doing now?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see the youtube tags are now outdated. For anyone else looking there is now a video button in the advanced reply that you just put the URL to your video in.

Mods: this post is outdated and provides subpar results compared to the video button. FYI

The way I see it the old way is the only way it works? If I do it using the video link in the advanced you only get a hyperlink to it instead of it showing right in the thread.

Larry. the new code looks like this:

And all it is doing is using {video}{/video} tags where { =[

This is a test, it is only a test. If this were an actual video you would be instructed where to tune in your area. This is only a test.

I'm blind as a bat... I cannot see the sample link in this post!
I just downloaded the new youtube studio . The problem is it shows the youtube part on the right. I just want the video.
Do you not refer back to youtube to put your video's in ProTouring?

Never mind My son figured this out for me.....
