Hi,
I am having some custom hardlines made for my car. I have installed C5/LS1 calipers all the way around and if possible I would like to use stock LS1 soft lines from the caliper to hardline for ease of replacement in the future.
Does anyone know what the fitting size is on a set of LS1 soft lines? I have heard that it is 10mmX1 thread pitch - is that correct?
Thanks,
Chris

I forgot the fitting size, but it's about 3/16" and metric bubble.
What I did was get an adaptor...actually, I bought 4 (2 spares), but I also bought a 60" line with both sides having this correct fitting. I will cut the line in half, and add 3/16" inverted flare fittings, and double flare, the cut side to make for a cleaner install.

Do you know the brand and part number of the adapter?

I believe it's Edelmann 271300.
They work very well. But again, if you want an easy (relatively) way to adapt without have to use the extra piece, you can get the brake line and double flare them either yourself, or the parts store can often do it.
I hope this helps.

Most people dont like them but you can also use steel compression unions too. The 3/16ths ones are rated at like 7500psi nominal and 15000psi burst.
These are the only DOT leagal repair/spilce otherthan flaring and using a flair union.
I am buying a hydralic flaring kit as soon as my tool bill goes back down.

The stock LS1 front lines will be too short IMO and the rears will be bordering on too short unless you want to stand the hardline off of the axle tube by a good distance to compensate. GM started to standardize to the metric hoses in '79 so you should be able to find an alternate application that will provide the needed length.
I'm doing the LS1 4-way conversion and will be getting braided hoses made to length.

I know this is old but you can use your stock lines and in some instances the hoses too. I use the fronts for rears too.
You just have to change the banjo bolt at the caliper. 10mm from 3/8" and it will still fit in the older hose opening.
