This is my first post and I recently obtained my first hot rod. I know nery little about classic cars and I recently inhareted a 1967 phase
II camaro convertable. There is a brass plaqe riveted on the firewall
stating "Built by Freeland Tanner for Jim McGee" I cant find much on Tanner but I know that McGee is Indy 500 racer from the 70's. I recently had the car appraised for insurance and the value really suprised me. I need to be educated!!!! help.

First of all... Welcome!
Second of all... CONGRATS on the Camaro.

A quick scan of the Net tells me that this is a car worth investigating.

Hey! A Buddy Of Mine In Green Forest, Arkansas Had A 69 Camaro That Looked Very Similar To That One, It Was A Phase 1 OR 3 Or Something Like That, Might This Be That Same Car? Mike Matlock Is The One Who Had It.

Welcome to the site. Post some pics of your car, if possible.
