So I'm building up my 71 with a ~475HP 406, T56, sticky (Toyo RA1) semi-street tires. I've been planning on going with a ford 9", but the more (and more, and more) I read, I know that a 10bolt will take care of me just fine if it's built right. Plus, it will weigh less, which is twice as important considering it's all unsprung weight.

Anyways, on to the question:

Does anyone out there build/sell 10 bolt housings? I'd rather not have teh hassle of pulling one out of the junk yard if it's possible to buy a ready-to-go housing that was assembled properly on a jig, tubes already welded, ford ends (no worries about C-clips), etc. and I can just stiff it with gears/posi/axles/brakes and bolt her in.

I know of somebody that does this. Not sure if he's a member here, but he is on NastyZ28, as Big Gear Head.
I don't know if he has housings that he does this work to, or if he just does it to customer's parts.

He's the man for this sort of thing.

I have built them in the past to sell, but I haven't had time lately. I'm trying to get caught up on some stuff so that I can build some more. I have been buying some housings, but haven't got around to doing anything with them yet. I weld the axle tubes on all of the 8.5 rear ends that I build.
