I'm installing a Ram Jet 502 Fuel Injected motor in my '68 Camaro, and it came with brackets for an accelerator cable. It looks like there are square holes in the brackets to mount the end of the cable enclosure - I think I've seen this type of cable before, but not sure what kind of car it was or where to buy one. Also, will I need a different accelerator pedal than stock since the stock one doesn't use a cable? Need some help on where to get this type of setup.

Thanks,

Hi Tom, Since you car most likely came with a rod you can get a pedal/cable set up off of a 70+ Nova. Bolts right up. You will have to drill a hole in the firewall for the cable. If you use a 72+ Nova or 71+ amaro set up you can use a file a square the hole up since those years have a square plastic locking clips.
If you into looks Locar should have a pedal/cable set your looking for. good luck with that

Thanks Vince.
Are you talking about a cable like this?

Here's a pic I found of what I need - you can see the black cable that comes up the back of the engine and goes to the supplied square-hole bracket. I thought that rod he used was for the kickdown, but I ugess it works for the throttle.

Lokar has a ramjet cable/bracket, but it's for the RamJet 350.

I made my own rod to extend to the stock linkage on my 69 Nova. Works great. I think the bellcrank they supply with the ramjet 502 is buttugly. I can get you a pic if you like.
