Hey guys, well I went down to cruise night on Fri and after I parked, I poped the hood to make sure I didn't have anything going on and sure enough I see the battery steaming outta the vent holes. So I wait a while for the battery to cool off and go back to see if it'll start. NO Good, It just turns over slightly but nowhere near a full revolution. So I'm guessing the alternator is over charging the battery, which is (My guess) Caused by the voltage regulator. I'm not sure. So thats why I need some input. This is on a 66 Chevy 2 with a 307/pg

Does sound like it's overcharging. You probably need to add some water to it now.

Its fixed, went down to autozone and exchanged my battery and got a new voltage regulator. Installed both and car fired right up, and now my yellow GEN warning light isn't on anymore.
