Camera mount for outside vehicle?

Anyone know who sells those camera boom poles that mount to the underside of a vehicle and extend a few feet out from the car? I've tried Google and found nothing. There was a thread about these types of shots, but I can't find it now.

I'm looking to increase my photography equipment list :)

hmmm.... not finding what I mean on those links.

Basically, the one I remember had a few large magnets that would stick to the underside of a vehicle. Then a series of poles attach together and extend a good 5-6 feet out from under the vehicle, where a camera mount would be at the end. That is how they get those wide angle rolling shots which show the entire vehicle in the frame.

I built one for a local film crew and we used fender mounted towing mirror mounts that everyone usedto use on truck when towing, we added a long cable mount like a choke cable and a swivel mount. The trick is having a remote actuator to take pics or movies.
Also it wasnt too hard to drop them down either.
Just a pain to get solidly mounted.
Remote mounting for video is easy if it has remote control capabilty.
We did 7 cars and the bitch was finding enough mounts, luckily I believe they got several from JC whittney,

I helped Steve when his 68 was shot for SuperChevy and we used a rig that the guy taking the pictures had either made or had made for him. I had wondered about them since and was looking in case I decided to try it myself on my cars or maybe use for ideas to make my own.

BTW since posting the link I found where a few people complained about the magnets not holding very well. A lot seems to depend on the car(s) you're going to use it on. Not a lot of ferris metal or flat surfaces on most new cars. Might have to figure out how to modify it to use a clamp or 4 to hold it on. One that was used for Steve's car we used really long tywraps.
