Great looking project. Can you fill us in on the details of the 68?

WD sub with c4 suspension, dana 44 in back w/ adj struts and trailing arms
LS1 with soon to be made Hogan intake, t56

Probably going with some HRE's think it's 315 back and 275/285 front

As you can see just two seats...tonaue cover & waterfall from c5 vette , suicide doors & shaved handles, smoothed bumper

Inside has 2001 camaro dash but we are filling "holes" air bag , fuse cover ect. and having it recovered...clean it up a bit.

Lots more but been working on it so long have forgotten some details.

Yep, never do that again! In the process of "cleaning up" the rear of all transverse leaf mounts ect. What rate spring are you going with on your IRS ? shock angle? Why I ask is that we are getting differing views on rates. WD said something ( before biz closed) and our chassis guy says something else. I know that the "angle" requires more rate. Too lazy to look in my old circle track basics books to find charts...

Will keep updates coming... going to try AGAIN to make the Autorama

Wayne said they used 600lb springs in the rear and 300lb in the front (small block). That is what I have and when I get there (Probably much later than you) I'll know if that is correct. My shock angle is Wayne's original. I can check the angel this weekend if you need. Are you using Wayne’s shock mount?

Why would you never do it again? I'm 98% done with a bolt in version of Wayne’s kit. I posted my progress a few days ago here

The way I did it you could always go back to a leaf spring if you ever wanted to.

What issues did you run into? How do you plan to run the exhaust as it looks like you have no room out the back.

Looks great by the way!

Well to max out our minitub we spaced the trailing arm in and had to notch the frame again (as with the minitub kit ) add a support bar to tie sides back together - right in line with "bat wing". All this to keep from cutting the housing and shafts...seemed like an easier solution.

As far as the shock angle , we did start with WD kit ...so all are points are the same as his. It's just that 600 sounds a little harsh, and that was what WD told us to use too.

The exhaust is going to stop under the IRS with a 5 or 6in tight oval, much like a tucci street rod I saw a few years back...think it was green.

600 is to much. 400 to 450 if the shocks are out in the orginal locations, more if you angle them or move them inboard. It is pretty amazing how much the leverage increases as you move them inboard.

I don't believe Wayne's kit is the stock shock angle (could be wrong). I'll have to dig out the original specifications and check it. How much did you narrow the rear end? That would change the angle if you didn't move the upper mount location. You will have less angle and would require less spring.
