View Full Version : Prodigy Vette Pics, I am in LOVE!

Well, I am officially in love. This little sweetheart rates right up there in my top 10 ever. Here are the pics of the Prodigy Vette 99% finished. I say 99% because it appears we may do a few tweaks on the interior now to really dial her in. The owner was gracious enough to allow us to hold onto the car show it a bit, with last weekends Year One Experiance being it's official Debut. BTW, the Vette got second place to my buddy Anthony's Year One Cup runner up off the hook 62 Vette, so we have no shame in second.
So after playing with this thing all weekend, all i can say is, WOW, what a fantastic car to look at and drive. The ProCharged ZO6, TKO600 makes for such a nice drivetrain. The car is just a prim amd proper little lady cruising the show grounds (which I did a lot, a whole lot, who needs a golf cart when you have this). The engine is not over cammed or miserable idleing around, but a viscous bitch when you smack the throttle as all 554RWHP come to life. We need to thank our tuner Mike Norris from Norris Motorsports for the sweet running engine. The chassis and C4 suspension gives it a ride and handles like, well, a C4 Corvette!
We are thrilled with the Silver and Charcoal combination. Our customer Rick should build some more cars as he has a terrific knack for nailing a theme. It was Rick's vision to intentionally match the Stinger stripe to the gunmetal centers in the Fogeline SP3P wheels. Wraped with 285 / 20s in the rear and 255 / 19s in the front and fill the wheel well just right. The wheel and tire combo not only look great, but they work fantastic with the C4 suspension (just ask Michael who wore it out on the autocross. Michael says thank you Rick!)
So thank you Rick for funding the build of such a killer car. It's guys like you that make guys like us look good.
BTW, Rick is just seeing these finshed pictures with the rest of you as we litterly finshed the car, and went straight to the show with no time for photos. I am going to run the car a couple hundred miles up the road to Rick for him to see and he and I will go cruising a bit, before bringing it back to Orlando for the final 1% and preparing for the Foose Show in Atlanta next month.

Dude........I mean........DUDE!
Frank, you guys outdid yourselves. IMO your best work yet. The most unified design. Best color combo. Best stance. Best engine you've done. Would love to see the interior.
I'm not much of a vert guy and I really prefer the hardtop in that year range of Vette, but that thing is just freakin perfect.

I love that Vette!
I gotta admit I was cussin' it out on Thursday, and would have gladly lit it on fire if I'd had a match. Andrew, David, Michael, and I nearly pulled the whole front of the car apart to get the intercooler plumbing installed. I was hot, dirty, and generally miserable as the car fired up and backed out of the assembly booth.
But then something magical happened: I saw the car as a whole and was immediately in love! It's gorgeous!

Love the car. It truly looks awesome. Is it really a 66? Aren't the fender louvers 67 style? Not picking, just asking.

Man, how tough does that independent front suspension look from the head-on shots?
Holy cow, you guys might just have to drive that thing up to Bloomington (http://www.bloomingtongold.com/?link=home) in a few weeks to give the purists a few heart attacks.
I'd love to see that. "Hi, we're here for the Gold Certification, where should we park? Sir? Sir... Sir, please start breathing!"

Frank,
What a great job you and the crew have done with this one. I'm like everyone else the engine / coil covers are "right on". I'm sure I know why Rick chose Prodigy Customs for the build... "YOU GUYS ROCK" :headbang:

That vette is sweet.. about the only one I like better is that Gran Sport one.
That's a bummer about the shoulder belt, they should have just duct taped you to the seat ;)
Again, NICE work!

LOL! We talked about buying a set of racing belts (my street racers are out of date so I need new ones anyway) and just throwing them over our shoulders and sitting on them! then we talked about sewing some to a jacket and swaping the jacket between Russel and I (67 caprice) who also got kicked off.
To Year Ones credit, they refunded my money, which was the right thing to do. I have to say they are a total class act!
That Vette is sweet, and looks even better in person. Congrats Prodigy crew!

Hmmmm, not bad, it's all right, I think you could have done better. Just kidding, that's frickin' SWEET!
i had not seen it in person since the paint was done and it was assembled, but Frank had some people to see in Jax and was kind enough to trailer it up so i could see the Prodigy Vette.it does look great in the pics, but boy when it rolled back out of the trailer,i was so impressed, the fit and finish is so good and the subtle little trick things that were incorporated really came together.i took it for a spin and we loaded it back into the trailer and its now back at Prodigy getting the final punchlist stuff done before Frank takes it
to play poker with Foose, and maybe a Photo session or two we hope lol....anyway Thanks for a fantastic job Frank,Lisa,Matt,Andrew and Mike

Frank I like the trailer.
You are an advertising machine.
Great car. What is the new project on the horizon?
ProdigyCustoms
06-13-2007, 08:16 PM
We have 9 projects right now, including a 67 Chevelle with a all aluminum 572, a 57 Chevy I am going to be summons to hell for by the restoration nuts, a car that scored 975 in the restored class at Classic Chevy 4 months ago, now the gangster white walls, dual quad power pack motor, are on the ground as the 4 link, rack and pinion, all aluminum 572 and TKO600 are going in, We are doing the finishing touchs on a 427CI SB2 head 68 convertible, We just rescued another sleeper in another shop, and are doing the paint and body on this 1 OWNER 70 GTO convertible that is a amazing high option car getting a light Pro Touring treatment, We have another rescue for a member here, a 69 convertible getting a LS2, 6 speed, etc. we have a 68 coupe out of Miami getting a monster Bill mitchel LSX motor amoung other goodies,
But the next big one is Project EmptyNest. Lisa's extreme 69 Trans Am convertible. We are heading to the Foose invitational show and poker tourney in the morning, I will do some shots around the shop and show some projects when we return. We have not done that in a while.
And yeah, the trailer gets attention! LOL!

Those black wheels are starting to get the gears turning in my head.

We are entertaining some offers for SEMA. Will just have to see if anyone needs it. Were not going to show it to death, just some regional stuff, so it should be "new enough"

Love the car. It truly looks awesome. Is it really a 66? Aren't the fender louvers 67 style? Not picking, just asking.
Agreed..... Especially with the backup light. Why are you guys calling it a 66?
I dont like the wheels. Way to trendy for such a beautiful and CLASSY car. Any pics of the frame and suspension work before the body went back on?
Now, if only someone was making some 17"x9" aulminum finned 'knockoffs'.........
ProdigyCustoms
08-21-2007, 12:11 PM
Thge owner wanted the 67 body kit, and since we were doing all the panels anyway.................. I have a buddy that HATES the wheels. in fact he HATES what we did to it. But he also is a guy that replaces the feathers in thew wheelwells, replaces the bad seams, oversprays the intake, and searches the world for laquer paint to be sure it does not come out to shinny. Then keeps them out of the sun and rain for fear they will explode! LOL! And I am serious!

Please don't take my comments as negative. You folks at Prodigy have and continue to build some of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen, and I respect that the customer gets what he wants-
But really, honestly, are those the wheels that you would have sellected for such an elegant sleeper Frank?

Great looking car. Everyone around me has been drooling over this ride.

Actually I chosse the wheels. The customer gave me full authority on those. I appreciate your feeling for what they are. If everyone liked the same thing, we would all have the same house, same car, same wife. That's why there are a couple dozen car manufacturers with dozen of car lines in dozens of colors.................
No offense taken at all. I appreciate someone having the balls to say they do not like something. Without be a ******* while doing it.

Any pictures of the build out there? I am wrapping up the body and paint work on one very similar (66 vette with 67 body parts, Full C4 suspension and running gear with adjustable coilovers on all 4 corners, etc.) and would to see how you tackled some of the mods.
Thanks,
