On my 68 Camaro - I have the original driveshaft - which I have had shortern andn re- balance to accomodate my 700R4 and now my 4L60e. I even had the yoke change - but never the u-joint - which is something that I really should do. Question - how strong is the original driveshaft? I have about 400 HP / and probably the same for Ft/Topque. Never really driven the car hard - will probably never see the track - is it worth keep a stronger one - or just have a machine shop put on new u-joints (if so - which are better the greasable or non-greasable ones - I think that I have read that the non-greasable ones are better).
