I'm looking at a 68 Camaro that burnt. It was a show car before the fire. Is the metal and stuff worther reusing?

Depends if the panels buckled

ditto, the panel warpage would probably be enough to cause several headaches, plus every car i have ever seen burn usually rusts up pretty quickly so you are fighting that too.
I guess it depeneds on how bad the fire was

If it burned bad enough the owner did not fix it you can bet every panel is warped.

Bret Voekel President of Air Ride Technologies 71 Prostreet Mustang was in a fire if I remember correctly. I do know one of his old cars was in fire and rebuilt.
Im not a body guy, Jim and Mike are... but I wouldn't think that would be a very solid foundation to start with. Why not look for a car that doesn't have baggage?

Not only the warpage from heat, but also the warpage from the fire hose (if the Fire Dept. responded) would be excessive...

also the fire dept isn't exactly gentle to the body panels when it comes to opening hoods and such to access where the fire is.
