My car isn't actually protouring but this is the best place to ask the question. I am fixing my '68 and its time for atleast front discs. Right now i have 4 wheel drums. What brakes would you guys recommend for a set of 15" wheels? I am running pro stars on the front, the car is mostly a strip car but is driven on the streets atleast every weekend.

well their front set wont fit on my 15x7 prostars. I think i have narrowed it down to the Wilwood Dynalite Pro Series Front Hub Kit and the Baer Serious Street. The Baer Sport system will fit width wise but the disc does sit far enough back like the Serious Street disc does so it hits the inside of my wheels.

We have a 10.75 Wilwood set up that will fit.

Do you prefer the Wilwood setup over the Baers? Sent you a PM

Wish there was a 12" Wilwood(maybe their 12.19s?) with the offset to clear my ProStars for the track and also work for the bigger street wheels.

Looking at Wilwood specs their Dynalite caliper takes 0.25 less clearance than their GM type caliper.GM stuffed 12" brakes in 15" wheels on B bodies you would think they could fit a system bigger than 10.75 in a 15" wheel. They make an 11.75 rotor that is in some kits for 15' wheels also like their 58-64 Impala kit,why not F body kits?

Depending on your eact wheel and backspace, you may be able to clear 12.19s. And yes, I like the Wilwoods better, and I really like the price better. All Baer stuff is to expensive, period!

yea i checked the price on the Baers a while ago and b/c of that i am definetely going with the wilwoods. Do you happend to have parts to put together a kit to run a larger 12" or 12.19" disc. The Baer Sport would have fit width wise if it didnt sit so far outward. So i have a feeling i could fit a 12" disc if it is set back.

Frank put the 12.19s on a 15" Pro Star,or a 15x8 TA snowflake?
You around a phone today for a kit price 1979 Camaro spindles?
I always thought the Baer stuff was pricier than what you got.

Why not get the AFX spindles and the new 12" discs from SSBC? They supposedly clear 15" wheels.
Plus you'll improve the handling along with the braking. :)
