im trying to fit 9.5 inch wide zr1's in the front of my 68 camaro with 255-40-17's. from what i was told they will fit with a 2 inch spacer. i dont have spacers yet i just have them set away 2 inchesfrom the rotor. they are very very close to the upper a arm. when i look at pictures of mark stielows red 67, he has plenty of room between the wheel and a arm. does anybody know whts wrong or if im doing something wrong?

thanks
Jesse

Red Witch has custom front suspension and spindles. You will notice that there is no spacer on the front or rear of the Red Witch.

after looking at it. one of the big reason its not fitting is because i think the ATS tall spindles mak ethe upper control arm higher so its too close now. do i need to buy new wheels now????????????? i got these wheels because i cant afford anytng else. the only other wheels i like are about $2000. ifnthats the case i wont be able to drive my car this year JUST becasue i cant afford wheels.

sorry to hear that but if they are not going to work sell them and buy wheels that will put on some rally wheels if you have to for this year until you have the funds for other wheels if my car was at that point i would not let that stop me from driving it.

The Red Witch does not have ZR1 wheels on the front. I think they are 8 1/2".

SLP sells 17" zr1 style wheels setup for 3rd gens. These would fit a first gen as well.

Im running that same wheel size on my 69 camaro and its lowered 3-1/4 inches and it rubs the fenderwell but not the control arms or anything just the Hotchkis Sway bar which is a meaty piece so thats why. But yes a 2'' spacer will put those wheels were they should be.
