I'm confused......I guess I'm just seeing the term thrown around so loosely
these days when I always was under the impression "Pro Touring" meant a
modern drivetrain and suspension in a vehicle. SOMETHING modern.....

What would you guys consider the qualifying requirements to earn that label ??

I see guys running 454's with nothing modern in their car , and they call it "Pro Touring"......https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/05/confused-1.gif
Or they slap 18" rims on it and call it "Pro Touring". So maybe I'm confused.
Can someone please help identify what qualifies a car to be in this arena ??

What separates a "Classic Muscle Car" from "Pro Touring" ??

without having a thread that goes to 240 count and then gets locked all over the stupid idea of drilling rotors, use the search function and you'll get more that you need.

I already did a search and it came up empty on clarification.
Hence I'm asking it directly.

Search: Define Pro-Touring with the search at the top. I came up with a bunch of posts.

This thread will be locked in .....4.....3.....2......1....

Use the exact words in your title of this thread in your search:

"define pro touring"

There are 2 threads with over 100 posts that go into this....

Aces, this is a touchy subject. It usually ends badly ... the best attempt we came up with is in the General Discussion forum. It is stickied at the top, and called "Pro Touring Defined". You'll see a moderator was the OP, and it was locked and unlocked several times. Several members left the site as a result.

Please have a look here. (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11764)
