ok guys...doing the 6 speed/ corvan dash and gauge thing on my 71 nova. all was going smoothly til the last few days i have the dash 99% in but im having problems with my directionals. all my splices were done into the factory harness were it plugs into the original dash cluster. anyway when i turn on the right directional the lights light up but do NOT flash??? and then with the directionals off and if i turn the headlamps on the directional light in the dash lights up dimly.... so far ive been checking everywhere...its driving me nuts sounds like a ground problem but im not 100% ive already wasted a load of time on it. yesterday after checking everything i could find 5x i was temped to order a new aaw harness ....but i really dont have the time right now and was hoping to go anothe year or 2 , if i do that i will probally not be driving it this year! oh and if it matters the car hasnt been drivin in about 4 years but as far as i know all was working last time a drove her... help im fed up!!!!!:banghead:

Check all the grounds. You may also want to check the grounds at the headlights. Make sure those are also clean and secure. I had a very similar problem, and went right to those grounds and that was the problem. But I suggest you go through all your grounds to make sure you don't find any other surprises.

The actual turn signals don't flash or the indicators don't flash? Sounds like you are saying the indicators don't flash and you have a splice wrong, bad ground, or dead battery.

Using LED lights can cause the old flashers not to work. They do not have enough resistance to make the flasher work.

oh ya and a new one.....last night i didnt work on the directional problem i finished hooking everything else up, so i started the car for the 1st time since the 6 speed and guage install and when i started it the speedo was burried at like 180mph or something and clicking off miles very quick, (i wasnt moveing)im assuming its because i may have the input and out put from the t56 back wards, i couldnt get a anwser from anyone which wire was which so i guessed....wrong i guess! is their anyway to set the speedo mileage back to zero on a auto meter pantom electronic speedo???

You definitely have a connection wrong somewhere.
