Hey I was wondering where someone would look to if they wanted to learn to weld on magnesium, aluminum, titanium, etc. Just want to be able to weld on these materials for personal use on future projects or possibly for side work.

Since these types of materials are found in auto racing applications, should I be looking into classes related to aeronautical field? Should I be looking at my local JCs? Any help would be appreciated.

We have several local JC's offering welding classes and yes one even offers the lost art of leading. also check with welding unit manufauters they sometimes put on classes for the hobbiest. Good Luck (if you learn on aluminum let me know I have some valve covers I want changed.)

Had no idea of the Lincoln program, thanks! And I didn't even consider learning to lead, seems like a good idea.
