Well I placed my front rim order this past week for a set of Torq Thrust II's (Cl205's) only to find the Boyd Coddington Sultan's in a grey spoke finish this morning. Now I am completely torn between the two. So at this point I really need some opinions on the two. Let me know what you guys think between the two and which will give a more old school vintage look on my Nova. On a side note the rim specs will be a 17 X 8" Front; 17x9.5" Rear and the car will be running 2" DSE rear drop leafs as well as DSE 2" drop coils up front...

Nice Nova! Really like that dark green color.
I say it's really up to you (not exactly what you are looking for) based on the fact they are very similar in style and both give that vintage look. I guess I would go with the Boyds just because ya don't see those very often whereas the TTs are everywhere.
Either one will look great!
Good luck.

I think the americans because of the darker center would look better against the green on your car. Here is another idea...

I like the rolled lip on these and they are definetly cheap enough. I personaly don't like the coys logo on the center cap but that can be changed.

Coys also don't come with that center cap logo anymore. It's black now. (it's a decal you can just leave off as well.)
However, If you only are deciding between the two wheels you posted. go with the boyd ones. Less people have them and they aren't as played out. However, you cannot go with a flat cap on the center of that wheel, like you can with the TTIIs and get a "trans am" look.
But I'd go with the Coy's and get a insane "deep dish" look that looks so awesome you have to see it to understand.(I' did.) No matter what you choose, I hope you went with our vendor PRRC (http://www.paradiseroadrc.com/) Their prices and customer service are unbeatable.

First off, Tony's right, the Coy's now come with a black and grey center decal, which looks much better but can still be left off. I really like the ones I got.
I got my 18" Coy's from PRRC and they were awesome to work with.
More importantly, with regard to the Boyd's, one of my good buddies has worked for a large tire and wheel retailer (you know them) for about 8 years and he has never had good things to say about the quality control on Boyd's wheels. According to him they have a number of severe out-of-round problems and when they go to Boyd's service reps they are often told it's within their tolerances. So...makes balancing them difficult or even impossible at times. While I'm sure that not all of their wheels have this problem, I'm not willing to take the chance with my money, especially when there are attractive alternatives.

I have a 69 Nova that has the poverty caps on it now. The more I study the look of the car I believe that 17" wheels with these same hubcaps would provide that 'old school' look very inexpensively. That said the TT2 looks real good. Check out Vintage Wheel Works for their rendition of the same style of wheel.

Jess, I'm torn between the TTIIs and the Coys. IMHO the TTIIs look more vintage and the Coys a little more pro-touring. Either will look great! You should post up a nice side pic and let some of these PhotoChop pros so their thing with both wheels.

Yea my original choice was the Vinatge Wheel Works V45's, but they did not offer the custom backspace in the sizes I was looking for. The poverty hubcap big steel wheel look is a very cool setup. I had considered this route as well but again I was limited by backspace offerings as well as the clearance needed for my Touring classic hybrid front brake kit. They are an affordable option tho thru wheel vintiques and they do look great on the right car. Heres a pic I took at a local show of some 17" steel wheels & "dogdish" poverty caps on a 69' Camaro.

Thanks for all the input and opinions guys. The more I look at the Boyd's the more I don't ike them.
The Coys do look great but I think I have decided to stick w/ the cl205's.
