Hey guys,

I'm looking for a C5 Z06, and I figured I'd put the word out, since I know many of you guys are constanly looking at cars. I'm looking for a "cherry" 2002 - 2004 Z06 (most likely going to be '02 or '03 for price). I'm basically looking for the car that an older gentleman purchased for retirement, parked it in his garage and cruised around in on the weekends, but aren't we all, LOL.

Requirements:
- No 2001s
- Stock or very close to it
- Black or Silver Only (Prefer black ever so slightly)
- 12,000 Miles or less (really prefer single digit mileage ~9K or so, the lower the better).
- Price - $28-32K, but will consider a little higher for the right car.
- Car must be in pristine condition: I will not consider anything with paint or body work, excessive wear and tear or abuse, etc.

I'm really trying to find a local car, but I will travel (up to 1200 miles or so) for the right one.

If you happen to come across anything or know of someone thinking of selling, please let me know.

Thanks,
Ralph

P.S. I'm really trying to avoid dealerships, unless there is some special circumstance (specialty dealer, or otherwise).

I saw this car last weekend. I didnt look it over well, but I can stop back & look closer. Even though the pics dont work for me (and the ad doesnt specify the Z06), it was the only silver C5 on the lot. I can probably get an asking price as well.

Steve,

I've seen a few FRCs with high mileage (some with a bunch of mods, too) for ~$15K or so. I'll let you know if I come across anything good.

Dean,
It's still available, and I'm still considering it in the back of my mind. However, I'm really not wanting to pay the premium for a 500 mile car, when anything around ~10K or less will suit me just fine, so I'm just seeing what's out there.

LOL, that sounds good. I'd rather measurements of 36-24-34 than the body work and welding certs, though :).

Shane,

The pics don't work for me, either. I could probably email them for some pics?

Sure Ralph,

They are good people. They are our local Camaro clubs biggest sponsor and have put together some serious C5s & 4th gens.

Just posted on my local board:

2002 E/B Corvette Z06 1500 miles
Car is absolutely flawless, i bought from the original owner in the spring and the car had 660 miles on it and now has 1500 miles on it. The car is electron Blue/Black, I got the clear bra installed($800) the day i bought it and also added chrome z06 rims($1000) and the quad tip borla exhaust($900) and the nice set of z06 lloyd mats($200). There is not one flaw on this car, paint looks like it did from factory, All factory parts included. Car is located in northern NJ. Email for pictures.

Thanks, Fellas! I might just have to give Mike a call, his car sounds awesome. E/B is probably the "nicest" Z06 color (sans white in '01), I'm just trying to avoid it as my buddy owns an '02 EB Z06. Thanks again!
