My friend's 69 camaro just started doing something weird, when ever he hits the brake pedal, his parking lights come on with his brake lights! He said this just started out of the blue, anyone ever have this problem before? Thanks in advance for your help!

looks light he has an ground fault , the rear lights are permanantly live and when you hit the brake the switch makes the earth, there must be a path from the rear lights to the brake curcit .

Sounds like the grounding problem... I know my Z28 buddy I was following somewhere had that happen and his turn signals and brake lights would all come on at the same time, it was somewhat disorienting from behind until I figured out what was wrong

Do the hazard flashers work as they should? Do the turn signal indicators in the dash also light up when the brake pedal is pressed?
Check and see if the hazard switch is on, it can do this very thing.

Sometimes it's a bad bulb making the ground loop, or the ground at the bulb housing.

Do the dash lights come on when the brake is depressed, if they do go get some good quality tailight bulbs and just replace them. Had the same issue with my Chevelle when I was in High School. It seems cheap auto store bulbs can melt the filament support and it sags down on to the brake filament.
