I just got a quote of $1300 for a new exhaust system
2.5" with x pipe, flowmasters, chrome tips, exhaust all the way out the back, this guy is supposed to be the best in town but that seems really high? no it is not even mandrel bent, appartantly no one does it around here. What have others paid??

All of my systems have been done by Ed Hansen... and he IS the best in the business.
But... I never paid more than $750.00 for what you stated above... and that is with a REAL x-pipe... not the Dr.Gas type. Which by the way... Ed designed and sold the rights to Dr.Gas/Spintech.
$1300 seems a little to high for such a simple system... unless he's making it out of 304.

I would not pay that much for a non-mandrel bent system...you would be better off buying a good off the shelf system or various components and bulding your own and get it all coated for much less than that.

My friend just had a 2.5" system with H-pipe, 18" Magnaflows and the Flowmaster piping (I believe) installed on his 69 Chevelle at a shop in Livermore for $450. I could get the name/contact info if you would like. He is happy with it.
$1300 for a non-mandrel system is a rip-off. Geez.......

What is the name of that shop? I'm in the Sacramento area and want to find a good shop myself...though I'll admit I haven't really done a lot of searching yet. Anybody recommend a particular shop that does quality work?
I've got a good shop in Lodi for non-mandrel bent systems. Resonable and do top notch work. They are called Muffler Man on Sacramento Street.
