Swapping TH400 for an overdrive tranny questions???

Will I have to change drive shafts if I go to a 200r4 or 700r4? Also what else will I have to change? I am ready to do my gears in my 72 Monte Carlo and my Big Block LS-6 is already eating me alive at the pump. I atleast want to put a nice strong overdrive tranny behind it.

I would use your turbo 400 and a gear vendor's if you want it to last behind some real horsepower! It is not cheap but add up all the cost's of the new tran's, converter and the price is not that bad, the gear spliting is a cool benifit also.

Go for a built 4L80E. It is very near the pricepoint of the TH400/GV Overdrive combo and you get all the cool (and easy) programmability.
