Anyone have experience with

Compared to Painless , EZ , AAW ?

If you are "brave" enough to go this route then I have a Painless kit....sorta that I will be looking to get rid of soon.

The bad...I know its not 100% complete. I have the picking sheet and will be trying to decipher it and what is missing before I post it for sale. I want to say it is "only" missing connectors and that everything else is in the kit.

PM me if you might be interested, it will go really cheap.

I gotta tell you, I got the headlight harness & engine harness for my 77z28 from AAW, and the stuff is fantastic. Everything is dead nuts perfect. Even the dumb little xmas tree conduit holders were in the exact right place. It literally took me 5 minutes to install the light harness. Unbelievable. Kudos to AAW. I almost feel bad modding the crap out of the engine harness.

I have never had the chance of using a AAW kit but I did rewire my entire Nova with a Ron Francis kit. I have the 18 circuit kit with "select a fuse" circuit meaning if you have a item you can choose to run it full time 12v or switched 12v by adjusting the fuse. Very nice kit with all of the relays and connectors. It was more time consuming rewiring the entire car but very assuring when you have troubles and aren't relying on 30 year old wiring. Plus the added benefit of using relays on everything doesn't takes it tool on your system!

I have the Painless kit because I used M&H Electric Fabrications.(www.wiringharness.com) I replaced the forward lamp harness and the engine harness in about an hour.

They modded the harness to work with my CS130 alternator and MSD ignition. They look stock, but have the correct connectors for the upgrade.

Had I been more informed I could have ordered the engine harness with the idle stop solenoid and TCS wiring deleted. Instead I plan on doing this myself. Warning, it voids the warranty of the item, but it will look cleaner.

Since I installed Wilwood pedal for Dual master cylinders,
the clutch pedal ended up right where the fuse block is located.

So actually I´m looking for a trunk/rear mount harness ,that have wires long enough.
I know "Painless" got one : #10220.

Any other suggestions for mounting fuse block in the trunk ?

My Ron Francis kit comes with enough wire to mount the fuse panel anywhere you like. Wires are labeled every 8 inches or so. Plus when I got my kit I went with his billet ignition switch (because my Flaming River column didn't have a ignition switch provision) so I used his ign and headlamp switches that come polished billet with different color rings to coordinate with your vehicle.

Call AAW and talk with them, they are very accomodating on modified factory harnesses. They may be able to work something up for you with a different fuse block location and their qaulity is second to no other out there.
