I've been out of the loop for a while, but I saw an ad for the REMY boxes and they look to be aluminum. Is this true or is it just wishful thinking on my part? I'm due for one and it would be nice to lose a few pounds there.

All steel (well except for the top cover), but nice steering boxes nonetheless.

Are there any other for GM that are aluminum other than the vega box?

Dan how many turns lock to lock?

I just put on a 778 box on a second Gen Camaro as they use the same pitman arm as PS, the 525 don't. Man what difference in lock to lock over a quick ratio PS box.

Interesting I always read the 16:1 were more like 4-4.5 turns L-L.

Interesting I always read the 16:1 were more like 4-4.5 turns L-L.With my previous 16:1 box, it was 3.5 turns lock-lock with a short pitman and long steering/outer arms. Along with the Remy box install I picked up a long pitman and short steering/outer arms so it knocked it down to 2.5 turns lock-lock.
