in a Camaro or anything else. Just talked with him today. A fraction of what I'm used to with the Viper.

A stroker (my motor, intake, etc.) Viper motor is $26k. The TT system is another $29K. Then you add fuel mgt for another $6k. Nelson's 509 TT system, including mgt. is 1/2 that...from the oil pan to the Hogan Intake and everything needed to install the TT's. Then you mate it with a Viper T56, and I'd have the power I've been used to for the last 3 yrs.

Id love to see a cost per component breakdown of the $29k turbo kit.
Regardless of what car its attached to, the parts are still pretty much the same for a turbo kit. Headers, turbo(s), wastegates, blow off valves, intercooler, piping. Did you get diamond studded headers with that?

Anyway, ive heard the neslon engines are top quality, so im sure youll be pleased with it, just have them custom build it to your desired level.
If you really want to hear about it from an owner, just ask the guys at nelson, im sure they have a list of customers they can use as a reference.

Obviously you're not just paying for the parts/labor for the TT Viper kit. You're paying for the R&D and of course the Viper tax. Unfortunately, you don't have the room around the V10 to mount much up front, so they have to be tucked away where the cat conv. used to be...

At any rate, it enabled me to shift it to a 9.x at 150+ all on pump gas and 20" Pirelli's.:smoke:

You're paying for ...... the Viper tax.

Bingo ! I heard that tax is around 50% or so, lol.

Congrats on the nice run, hopefully your future camaro runs just as strong.

A '69 with a Nelson TT and Viper T56 would be the ticket. If I could just find one with the paint, all the coil-over suspension, mini-tubbed and a GOOD interior for less than 50k, I'd be happy.
