I have a friend who has been helping me with sanding, and such. He is a bit of a car guy, but a novice at best. I always told him when he got a car I'd help, so I get a call, he says come look at this chevelle and tell me what you think.
Well, I'm thinking a mid 70's or a 4 door, or something. He tells me his dad says he can have it if he fixes it up.
So, I get there, and its a 69. two door hard top, v8 car, factory air, ps, bright blue with white interior and a black vinyl top. The car has been sitting in a garage since 1986.
It is in good shape ( for a midwest car) dr quarter is smashed and needs repaled, dr fender, and the trunk pan has a couple holes. Floor are solid though.
He then tells me his dad has an engine, ls1 or something, out of a camaro, I'm thinking "right", walk over, and there it is a complete LS1 with 6 speed still attached!
I told him we have to get that in it, so his dsad says, 'get the body ready and we'll see"
So, as I was saying, SOME Guys HAve all the luck!
Disassemly has already begun!
Pics soon!
At least I am working on a pro touring car again.
