This is not an ad. The folks on the above thread are trying to get a quality crossflow exhaust for 2nd gen f cars done. Most of the Pontiac folks know about this, but I thought I'd share this info with you Chevy guys.
This system is a G-machine dream exhaust. Check it out!!
If you are interested, there is info on letting the PYPES division of Performance Years know.
I posted this here for maximum viewing. I'll post it in the Exhaust section as well.

I have a system like this on my car for about 5 years allready (flowmaster)
What is different about this one?

Yeah flowmaster has a similar setup. The only difference here would be the muffler.
whats the point overall? no ground clearence problems? i dont have any now with true duals on my TA. sure the headers will hit things if i lower the car, but the mufflers sure wont. im running turbo mufflers. so they are full sized mufflers. my car originally came with miniturbos they looked like resonators. anyway the system looks good, im just not understanding whats so great about it.

Depending on the size of the bump, the mufflers will hit...not as bad as the headers, but they do hit. I think the system will be great if it is able to flow as well as two mufflers do. (By the way: 1977 trans am with Hotchkis springs front and rear. The mufflers are tucked up as close to the body as can be without burning anything.)

Sorry, I've been out of town for a few days....
Read the posts on the link provided. It will explain everything and answer most of your questions.
As far as comparing it to a Flowmaster, know that the guy who prototyped this is the same man who spent YEARS testing mufflers/exhausts/etc to get a system that sounds good AND performs. He has a 71ish Pontiac wagon that is a rolling test bed and does 11's with stock parts. I know that Hot Rod did an article on the Flowmaster system way back when it first came out and it picked up very little in the HP department. I was really bummed, as I've always ran Flowmaster products, but if this system is better, then it's for me.
WS6- You don't scrape??!! That's fantastic. You are VERY fortunate, as I've owned many 2nd gen cars and I've always had rubbing and scraping issues. Of course, I've always had lowered cars (been building these things in a "Pro-Touing" style since the 80's), so I don't have much experience with a stock height car. Most of the people I know do scrape and rub on everything, so there is definitely potential for this system.
Thanks for the replies.
nope dont scrape anything on the TA. its not lowered yet either, so well see, but the mufflers also dont hang down. i know the neaders will most likely scrape though. im thinking about getting uncoated ones and welding a skid plate on then coating them.
now my formula is a different story. its a 96 riding on eibach prokit springs. i sit lower than most it seems. i now have TPiS headers and a Random Tech catted Ypipe. I havent hit anything yet, thats a big yet. ive just learned to take it easy and to simply care enough to not going over certain things. i can go over speed bumps, but gotta go slow. had to do that with the factory system anyway though.
