the oil pan will have to be replaced, but it is a start

Cool! I'll tell you right now, you're going to be surprised at how well it goes. My '04 pickup has one in it, and it still amazes me at how strong it runs. And my truck is easily a thousand pounds heavier than your Nova.
What are you using for a tranny and rear gears?

oilpan will be replaced,looking to use cts-v , and i will be using saganw4 speed for now will be replace with new richmond 5 speed over drive, with 3.73 gears

it is the cadillac cts with ls6 or ls2 motors with a 6 speed

I thought the Cad is a truck pan like you have? Isn't the shallow pan is the Camaro pan?
