Super Duty lower ball joint help!

hey guys,
i hope you have some ideas on this one. doing the ball joints on my '03 F350. passenger side was no problem. driver side lower just won't release from the axle. i've been soaking it in penetrating oil since i started this yesterday to no avail. upper is already loose and ready to come out. it is a Dana 60 axle if that helps. and i do not have a torch to heat it(would i want to anyway?). thanks in advance!

Loosen the nut almost off. Take a large hammer and hit on the side of the SPINDLE right where the ball joint goes through it.

thanks VenturaII, that is how i was taught also. i pretty much wore out my shoulder and hammer trying this. a friend finally came over with a torch a little while ago. he just got the ball jount itself hot and it squeezed its own way out of the tapered hole in no time. i appreciate you replying! have a good evening.
