Pick up the latest version of Hot Rod magazine. They have a list of all the subs on the market with info. about each one.

I called them and asked if an LS1 would fit with the stock F body oil pan and stock accessory drives. The guy on the phone said they had not tried an LS1 and couldn't say if it would fit etc so anyone who tries this is on their own to find mounts and headers to fit. Hard to imagine someone would develop something like this without the LSx in mind since it seems that a large proportion of these aftermarket subframes are used with LSx engines. Too bad, the price was tempting for someone working on a limited budget.

Call me a dork, but I took off and picked up the magazine (Hot Rod June 07). It has all the frames listed, and on the Heidt's it says:

"What engines fit? Chevy big-and small-block, LS-series, custom apps on special order."

So, good that it does, but bad that the salesperson you spoke with is obviously not very up-to-date on the companies line of products.

OK I called them again and spoke to a different person. He said that they did have an LS1 block in it at one time but he did not know what mounts were used. He had no idea about oil pan or accessory clearances and could not say if they had headers on it. They do not sell the engine mount adapters. He said he would call back with better answers but I got the impression that it would be a while before they can answer these questions. He said their engineer was standing beside him and he didn't seem to know either.

Update: He called back this afternoon and said they used the stock F body oil pan and it fits. They also used the S&P mounts. No header recommendations other than "there is lots of room". No information on accessory clearances. Other information is that it does not use Mustang II suspension and that it uses their tall 2" drop Camaro spindles.
