View Full Version : Four Link Install Question

Currently installing a four link in my 67 nova and am not sure on proper method to calculate pinion angle, do i need car and ride height to set it right,were is the right spot to measure on the transmission to get proper angle reading. All input welcome. Installed front clip today.

Read the entire article and follow it to the letter... Proper cancellation as it is explained is why so many guys here have vibration issues... and you can take that to the bank! Even if nothing is changed from stock, many still have a degree or more of difference between the trans yoke and the yoke on the differential. I have fixed hundreds of vibration problems that people spent thousands of dollars chasing, by trying to correct the "effect" instead of the "cause". Its hard to convince someone that the driveshaft rotates at different speeds @ both ends, but it's a fact many have never heard of let alone believe. I decided to put it on my website for those who wanted to put an end to an ass massage every time they got in their cars, not to mention extension housing bushings and seals, along with pinion seals & bearings. Ohhhh, and YES the car must be at the correct ride height before doing this procedure... Good luck...
