I have a 69 Camaro project (rolling chassis) that I want to fix up. I have a chance to buy an original 1970 Impala 454 with 400 turbo trans, power windows, tilt column,12 bolt rear,15x7 rallys that runs but needs interior work. All for $2500

What stuff from this Impala would work on my 69 Camaro?
Obviously I could use the engine, trans and wheels but what about everything else???

Unless the Imps a rust bucket, I wouldn't tear it all apart, better car than the Camaro, but I like big cars,

Suspension is different. Pretty sure the Imp rear suspension is coils, so you'd have to put leaf spring mounts on the rear.

You might be able to adapt the power windows, but it'd take some effort.

Not sure how much the column would have to get cut down in order to fit.

Got to agree with Steve -- wouldn't do it. However, that'd be a kick ass driver.

The steering column will swap. You will need a spline to rag joint adapter.

Really. I would have thought that it would have been far too long.

$2500 dollars is a lot to spend for a used motor, trans and (possibly) a steering column. The Imp is a "B" body so even the wheels won't swap (5 on 5) and the rear will probably be too wide...
Unless you want to fix it up a bit and drive or re-sell it, it isn't a good donor car for your Camaro.

the later b-bodys were 5 on 5, the 70 is 5 on 4.75. I had a set of wheels off of a third gen camaro on my 70 that fit perfectly.

is this car a 2dr or 4dr? just curios what kind of shape its in etc... and if you would be willing to part/sell the rest of what you don't use.
