The above link is to a web site for my car project. It's taken some time to complete, so long I'm embarrassed to say. It should have been done last year but the engine developed a crack.
It's all back together and running. I took it to work the other day to check the alignment, brakes, and weight. My tape measure alignment only needed a little tweeking on the front camber, caster, and toe. It weighed in heavier than I wanted but it is 51% front / 49% rear distribution along with 50/50 cross weights. The passenger car is a little heavier than the drivers.
I've only driven a few times and to one car cruise/show. It's fun to drive it finally and the kids act like their in a roller coaster when were driving around. That may be the best part so far. Even the wife was smilling when we went for a drive.
I'm planning on driving it as much as possible now. Mostly to local shows and cruises but I am going to go to Goodguys in Iowa and in Kansas City along with the Street machine nationals in Springfield, Missouri. I can't seem to talk my friends into driving 8 hours to Columbus for the Goodguys show there.
Now I need to find a good appraiser in the St. Louis area. Someone who knows the value of a custom car, not just factory restored cars.
I plan on taking some better pictures soon, just haven't had a chance yet. Maybe Steve would like to take a few?
Later,
Dennis

I'm glad it's all came together for you. Sending a PM.
What was the total weight of the car?

More than I was hoping, about 3550 lbs or so. We measured the car an a set of static scales and on our brake tester which is a dynamic measurement. They dissagreed with each other but I'd rather go with the dynamic measurement which was moore flattering. I knew I shouldn't have put in the A/C, sterio system, and all that other stuff that makes driving the car comfortable.
Oh well, it's not a race car, i built for the experiance of building a car from nothing. Now that it is done, I plan on driving it as much as possible.

It feels good to finish it, right?
Are you going to do any of the power tour legs? If so, I look forward to seeing it in person.
I am glad to hear you are going to drive it, that to me is the most important part.:drive:

Perfection! Great work and perseverance combined to make one outstanding ride! Now enjoy it safely.
Awsome job and as someone who is one week out from finishing my strength of materials class, I loved seeing that you tested the spindle for distortion. Now go drive the hell out of the thing.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys.
It does feel good to have it running and driving. I do have to finish up a few things like tuning the EFI, buffing the paint again, get the spedo working, etc. It'll be hard to do that stuff no that I can drive it.
There are some new pictures of the interor and exterior on the web site.
http://www.et-motorsports.cc/project_cars/nova_62_menace/
There are different pages to the web site. On the front page to the right there are different sections. Click on a section, "Body Work", "Differential", "Engine/Transmission", etc. That will bring you to a new page with more pictures. The "Body Work" page has a few sub pages for the paint, spoiler, and rear quarters. There's also a word document under the spoiler page that I wrote about how I made the front spoiler.
There are only a few pics of the interior and the paint completed. I wil try to take some better pictrues and have my friend add them to the web site.
I don't know if I'm ready to take it on the Power Tour yet. I still have some things to work out and we have a lot going on this summer. I'll be lucky to fit in the few shows that I plan on attending. Maybe my friends and I will drive to Springfield for a day but I don't think I'll be able to go on the tour. So far the car's longest trip was to work an back, about a 30 mile round trip.
Thanks again everyone and I hope to have more pictures soon.

No. I don't get on the internet much. This is the only site I visit with regularity. I've gone there to try and find parts but that's about it.
