This is an article I wrote for another forum on a planishing hammer I built. I thought it might be valuable to some of you that like shaping metal. It's pretty cheap to build as well. Call it a poor man's English wheel. It will smooth out a panel that looks like a sack of walnuts.

Great article, I am on board to build one of these. I have been working (actually playing) with my hammer and bag on some scrap I have laying around the shop. I want to go further with it (smooth out the bumps), this looks like the "poor mans" ticket. Thanks.
