Hey guys,

I am in the process of redoing a 1965 Mustang Coupe for my mom (Yes I'm waiting for the smart allick remarks) and am having problems with the blinkers. When I turn the blinker to the left, the rear of the car works fine but both front blinkers blink. And when I turn it to the right the rear works fine but both front blink. When I turn on the parking lights, the blinkers don't work in the front but the rear works as should. If I turn on just the parking lights they work fine until I turn on the blinker. The stock front parking/turn lights on the 65 are a 3 wire setup. One plug is for ground and the other 2 wire plug is reading voltage on both sides at the same time. I have checked every ground and gone through and wire wheeled them all to bare metal and recrimped ends on all of the grounds to ensure good grounds. The bulbs and wiring are new (bought new parking light ass for both sides). From all I can tell from the wiring diagrams everything under the hood is correct

Forgot about the ign switch question. How in the world do you get it out of the dash? I want the whole assembly out to replace the tumbler and check wiring.

When the car is done I will psot pics of it. It is 2006 Ford burnt orange with mid 90's Mustang seats, fabbed hood scoop from a 85 GT turned around for more of a BOSS look and molded in side scoops. Car is running the 289 with Flowmasters and Demon carb and lowered 2 inches. Also shaved off all badges and put newer "Eleanor" style air damn on with 2000 Ford Ranger driving lights. For a low buck project it is quite nice.

Well I finally figured out the problem. For those of you looking at this in the future. The turn signal/parking lamp assembly ordered from NPD was wired wrong. Wether I got the wrong part or the title is wrong on the car and it is a different year. Either way I am not dropping on NPD. But the assembly was actually wired completely wrong. The ground was actually the bright filament feed and the dim filament was actually the ground. And you can't plug the assembly in wrong and it is a sealed setup just like factory so that is not possible to switch the wires at the parking light end of the assembly. So to those in the future or having similair situations, don't assume (you know what that did to me) the tailight or marker light or parking light are correct. Check with a Ohm meter to make sure you are grounded properly and so forth.
