Does anyone know if I can use a nitrous fuel solnoid to as a purge solenoid? The NOS one I have on there is no longer working and I have the fuel one left from a powershot system.

Thanks

I dont think its a wise idea to use the fuel solenoid on the nitrous side, even as a purge. The Nitrous solenoids are a little beefier than the fuel ones because they have to deal with opening and closing under greater amounts of pressure. The typical nitrous line pressure is about 900PSI, whereas the fuel is only around 6 or 7PSI.
You'll run the risk of the purge not opening at all, or it will leak and you'll just be wasting your nitrous out your purge valve.

I agree. You can buy the Powershot solenoids separately from Summit for a reasonable price. They have different seats from the fuel ones, too, IIRC.

There are a few on ebay, I think I'll just sell mine there and get a nitrous one.

Thanks.
