Dave, Congrats on Mary's AutoX. When I read about her car you mentioned that you have an adj rear sway bar. When I circle tracked last decade we had an adj. sway bar up front, but we only turned left. Please skool me on how it works... I don't see how it can be adjusted except bu putting a stiffer bar, or loosening it so it doesn't react right away.

Basically, the length of the arms is what effects the load on the bar, and the reaction. The longer the bar, the less stiff the bar will seem. The shorter the arms, the stiffer the bar will seem. What I think they did is make it so there are multiple holes to attach the Hotchkis dog bones to. This makes the arm longer or shorter, based on the distance from the mounting hole to the cross part of the bar. Is that understandable? Damn, Dave, I hope I'm right here....

Yes,
I cut off about 2.5" from the arms and welded in a piece of bar stock that allowed me two holes shorter (stiffer) setting and about 5 holes longer (softer).
The "dog bones" (links) are very short and I didn't have the room to make a sliding type adjuster for the bar, it wouldn't have enough swing length.

Why is it, that after you hear the explanation for something you feel like an idiot, and the answer is obvious you wonder why you even had to ask?:hmm:
Thanks
