I have a 68 Camaro with a fairly stout 383 with 574 hp and 543 lb/ft. Mind you this is a pt car so it may but very seldom will be anywhere but the street so, do I need to invest in a forged pinion yoke or will a standard Dana/Spicer unit work with a 1350 joint. I realize you can get them for all different joints and made from all kinds of material. I just don't want this to be a decision. Any help would be appreciated

You won't go wrong with a Spicer part. 1350 is plenty.

Okay that is kinda what I was figuring. I wouldn't be leaving like a dragster or anything but I would be plenty hard on the car. Forged is always the best way since I could never over do on strength, but I am limited on funds too.

Which rear end is this? I think my forged and cast yokes are the same price.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that! It is a 12 bolt, 4.10 gear, 4-series carrier, tremec tko600 trans.

Yea, forged or cast 1350 for the 12 bolt are both $110 plus shipping.
