Something like this is the only application of neons that I would ever subject my car to...that is only if my car were a show car...which it is not...

I don't have neons on my car but if at all possible I try to park beside someone who does....seems to be a lot less misquito's in the area...lol

Clean Nova, Neons can be cool if your doing car shows or a cruise type thing, I personally don't like going that slow,

Is the merciless nature of this mocking really necessary? ALL pro-touring cars are openly mocked in other forums, why dog-pile on some poor guy just because you disagree with a stylistic choice? He drives a cool muscle car and he thinks his neons look cool. I say, good on him.

To each their own, but you have to have some thick skin coming into a forum for pro-touring and posting a topic about neon lights. Now, the Nova is real nice, in the day pictures. I still stick by my first post.......wrong forum/site!

but I usually don't import bash, because young people need cheap hot rods too, but man I'll tell you kids with Honda's and monster tachs just crack me up, they act like it adds 25rwhp, I had too laugh at one yesterday, hot got so mad thta he almost hit the guy in front of me twice, and then cut off 5 to 6 cars, to prove what?????, just dumb

But the looks cool, neons not that bad, I've seen worse!

I don't mind it when people use lights to illuminate something that they want to make more visible (like an engine) but I don't get the attraction of lighting up the ground.

Nice Nova. I get too much attention from the police as it is, but that would attract some people at a show or cruise. Like they said, do what you want its your car.
I just like to keep it simple, if it doesn't make the car perform better, its just extra bagage to haul around.

Don't get me wrong, I'd never choose the neons either...but the dog-piling was a bit more than average. At least he didn't "donk" it.

Being in Socal, every ricer has or had neon ground effects at one time or another it seems. Not my thing. As Steve N 69 69 69 said, I get too many looks from the 5-oh to draw any more attention to myself. Hell, I have been pulled over for what an officer said he 'heard' from 2 blocks away.

aw come on guys NEons were installed on car decades ago.
I know of a fat fender car that has some of the first colored floresent tubes still on the car, its now lower, faster and still sweet and it can pull .98G on it 17 inchers and gets 28 mpg from the Turboed V6 TKO setup.
The Nova is sweet and I love it actually.
PROPERLY installed neons ,which means the tubes cannot be seen from any side view also thet are not supposedto be used all the time. I was kind of thinking of some yellow neon on my Monza after its low enough (on Air).
I got crap cause I cant find a LSx type engine nor afford it for my Monza at this time so I am going all forged 283 rotating assembly and looking for a T56 to fit a small block but will run a TCI THM350 for now. I want ShockWaves front and if I can get the "kit "done on rear too.
I hope to getthe Monza down for some sutocrossing on HRPT in E-Ville but who knows how the cash will flow.
run what ya brung and hope ya brung enough.
And in a slightly lighter area the blue car with blue neons should make a GREAT pic.
