When building any kind of linked suspension obviously longer link arms are preferred over short ones. But this seems to be all the information I can find on the subject.

How long should they be? Packaging issues aside… how do you determine how long the links should be on a 3 link set up? I would imagine if they get too long flex becomes an issue. And obviously if they are too short this brings up even more issues.

Can any body shed some light on this subject?

There is a very good discussion of this topic over at www.corner-carvers.com in the Suspension section entitled "Really Long Trailing Arms." The thread starter was username "Preston." Do a search over there and you will find it.
