The not-so-flattering project name was given by my slightly jealous girlfriend and it has stuck. Anyway, here's a few pictures of the front suspension parts I'm hoping to install as soon as I get the subframe cleaned up.
SC&C upper control arms, Moog balljoints and tie rod ends, AFX spindles, 850lb springs on spring adjusters, and Bilstein shocks. I just ordered a Alston G-Bar rear suspension kit last week, which should compliment this front setup very well.

Just tell her what my wife told me about my cars, motorcycles, etc. She said, "Every good woman knows that a man has to have his toys. If he doesn't, he finds something else to play with... and that thing usually has breasts."

I dig your screen name. I dig the whole "Fire Turd" deal. I don't know about your girlfriend. Is she friends with my wife?
I saw a '78 Trans Am while I was with my wife today. Primer, mismatched wheels, two shady lookin' white guys driving it, totally standard issue. I told her - "LOOK - THAT'S OUR DESTINY!" She responded "I'm totally ignoring you" and walked off!
For some reason, all the women I know are totally alergic to those cars.......

I know what you mean, Craig. I think they have an anti-car club we haven't found out about yet. She's turning around though, I actually got her to help me take off the old suspension as long as I had a deep supply of nitrile gloves to protect her manicure!

I just got it on Friday, it looks awesome! I need to order some MasterSeries for my subframe and I'll be able to put the car back on its front wheels and start working on the back end. But, I also still need my front brakes and my new Ford 9" axle....it never ends!

The name is kinda cool, just don't make the same mistake we all did, making the girlfriend the wife. This terrible mistake makes them think they have a say in what you do..... ( listen to the voices in your head and the crowd, "stay away from the light!"

850lb front springs sound very stiff. But good luck on it, I would like to hear how it rides with that spring and damper combo.

850lbs is pretty stiff, but these springs are cheap and I can easily change them out for something lighter (they come in 50lb increments). Front spring rates don't have as much an effect on ride stiffness as the rears, anyway. The G-Bar came with 200lb springs on the coilovers, I'll see how they work and swap springs as needed.

Cool project.. I got lucky with my current girlfriend, when the falcon got dropped off at my house she asked "when can I drive it?"
