Gents, curious as to how this new C5 setup is going to work. I am getting the C5 Z06 solid rotors and caliper setup from
one of the board members of Nastyz28 because he sells the kit complete and ready to go with the spindles cut.
My question is....
These stock brakes on my 78 Camaro when they lock up, it will scare the crap out of you because all you hear is
squeeling tires, and it kinda freaks you out a bit.
Do the new C5 brake setups have Anti-lock sensors or anything
or are they just basically just stronger and will do the samething ??

Hey Aces, the calipers don't come with any ABS stuff. Personally, I get more freaked out by the ABS and traction control on my wife's Jetta than locked up brakes:scared: .
I don't know what kind of master you're running but I switched to manual brakes and the pedal feel is much better for a performance application. The amount of brake force applied is equal to the response you get on the pedal side (i.e. you have to stand on it to lock them up) unlike a power brakes setup where the brakes are more likely to suddenly lock up on you because you can't "feel" where you are in relation to brake force applied. I like this setup so much that I'm considering ditching the power brakes/ABS/ traction control on my DD '93Z in favor of manual brakes.
