Dont take my word for it. Follow this link and see all the others that have complainted about a similiar Problems like mine below. Want to know what separates a GOOD transport FROM A BAD ONE? It all comes down to how a company handles a PROBLEM WHEN IT ARISES!!

I cant believe these people!! They are suppose to have a good reputation but let me tell you a little story about them!! They delivered a car to me that I bought to sell to someone else. First off, they give me a time frame of 6:00 pm. The guy comes barreling into my neighborhood knocking on my front door at 11:00 PM!! OK... so I go outside in the freezing cold and the guy starts up the car and I keep hearing the car shutting off and a GOD aweful scraping noise. I go into the truck and the friging exhaust is DRAGGING ON THE GROUND!! The driver said it was like that when he loaded it and couldnt help damaging it when he loaded it. He said his trailer was not equipt to handle a low clearance car!! THEN WHY DID YOU LOAD IT? I SAID. He looked at me with a dumb founded look like uhhh because I had to. I spent an hour and a half trying to build make shift ramps with wood and all to get the car out of the trailer. This guy stood there looking at me the whole time!!! The exhaust was ruined!!!

So I call AUTOBAHN and they say they have no record of this happening. I said well it did and you can call the guy who delivered it as well as the guy who sold me the vehicle and he will verify it as well. They said they would get back to me when the driver returned in two days... Four days later still not call, so I call Sam and Thomas at Autobahn and they said sorry we delivered the car and it is your problem. MY PROBLEM??? I asked for $150 OUT OF THE $1000 dollars they charged me and they basically told me sorry but we are not doing anything about it!! It is not our responsibility we are only responsible for delivering the car not for unloading it!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? DONT USE AUTOBAHN, upon other inquires I have found that they have some bad feedback!! They tend to contract out drivers along with their own drivers as was proven from the driver. He said he was independent and that they contracted him out even though AUTOBAHN DENIES IT!!!

Sorry to hear...Sometimes it's better to work with smaller lesser known companies....Companies who need the return work.....

Did you pay via credit card? If so dispute the charges....

Here is my 2 cents: There are brokers who represent themselves as the actual shippers. I learned the hard way that brokers could care less about you or your car. Their quoted price is rarley what you end up paying. Their timeline for delivery is never accurate. And when you do have a problem, they blame it on the shipper--but they won't tell you who the shipper is!! I have found it best to deal directly with the transporter and skip the brokers.

The funny thing is that Autobahn REPRESENTS themselves as SHIPPERS NOT BROKERS!! Thats why I found it so unbelievable that they would contract someone out!! I guess they are on the way down service wise. They are not HONORABLE at all!!

Brokers are not all bad. I own a moving/auto transport broker business. Nice and small and we aim to please every customer. We aim to keep the customer happy so we get referred or repeated business. Not all moving companies have their customers best intrest in mind....Don't group us all together.....:secret: There are still some good ones out there.

Would using a credit card to pay help as if you have a dispute it's the card company that take up the dispute and you do not have to pay till its done, I would have got pictures when it was delivered and got the driver to sign the time, and the condition the car was in when he collected it, ,and got some identity from him. My truck was stuck new york docks for shipping for 4 wks ,bumped off two ships for no reason and have loading slips should have here 2 april have to wait till 28th april bummer.

You are right about SOME brokers. They are not all bad. I have used Big Brothers Auto transport and they have been very very good to work with as far as brokers go. But AUTOBAHN is the worst!! Oh and if you are thinking about posting a negative comment about them on transportreviews dot com? Forget about it. They pulled my post!!! I guess they dont like biting the hand that FEEDS THEM!! CRAP site as far as Im concerned!!

FedEx custom critical. Nope, I'm not kidding. They bought out another company, I can't remember their name. Their trucls were green with yellow words. I transported a vette that was no where near show quality tow and from a location. They treated the car just like it was something special. Sure their before damage report was a little long, like I said the car was nothing fancy at all, but they did it with care and accuracy just like they would the road race vette than was in their and this antique vehicle that was in there too.

I think Passport was the company FedEx bought out.

Either that of do like jy mentioned and try someone small.

Sorry for your troubles. Talk with your cc if you used that to pay for the shipping see what they can do.
