I have a 1977 Trans Am upon which I am planning to run 17x8(F), 17x10(R) Intro Wheels-Twisted Vista IIs. What would be the proper kits (F & R) for Wilwood and/or Baer 4-wheel discs? I can't make heads or tails of either company's website as far as fitment goes.

My car is a street car only, so I'm thinking 12" rotors all around, or maybe 13" up front and 12" out back. Anyway, need some help here. Thanks!!

We have a Unbeatable deal on our Total Car Brake Package using Wilwood front and rear, 12.2" F and R, 4 piston F and R, with internal E brake. Kit includes E brake cables, Front and rear braided brake hoses, master cylinder, and 4 pints of DOT 4 High temp fluid for $1600.

There is not a 6 piston kit for the 2nd Gen cars, but we are working on something for G Bodies and 2nd gens as we speak. When finished it will be somewhere around $800 upgrade.

I assume that is their Dynalite caliper 12.19 rotor kit? I believe they have aluminum hubs the rotor adapter bolts to then the rotor bolts to it. Worry about aluminum hubs and cornering? I know most of the drag boys use them street/strip. They fit in a 15" wheel liek Torque Thrust? Have a friend wanting to upgrade from their 10.75 kit to bigger rotors.

I also saw on their site a new rear caliper with an integral E brake, but it looked like a small piston. But hen the 2004 GTO rear calipes I got look awfull small also.

Hey frank is it the dynalites? Also how soon for the 6 piston stuff?

Skip, no concern with the forged aluminum hubs. Lots of forged aluminum used in suspension and spindles. Yes it is the 12.2 Dynalite. The 6 piston project is one we are doing in house for our 86 Monte Carlo first, then for sencond gens. The 2nd gen is a ways off yet, but we expect the mMonte Carlo to be done in a couple weeks.

Frank... out of curiosity... would this 12.2" kit fit behind the factory snowflakes on a 2nd Gen Trans Am?

You would have to run the 10.75 kit behind 15" wheels up front, and you could run the 12.2" out back. This is because the rear caliper are offset enough inward to not interfere with the wheel, where as the front caliper would hit the inside of the inner rim shell.

Well... so much for my idea of having the best of both worlds (running this 12.2" kit and getting 17" rims AND keeping my 15x8" flakes for those times when I was feeling more old school!):)
Oh well....:drive2:

I'd like to get this Wilwood kit, but will have to see what the wheel bill comes to first!!! Hoping I can get both though.
