lookin for some opinions...

so, i'm going to be coming up on paint time relatively soon here for my 1977 Corvette. this is a car that i bought for the sole purpose of fixing it up a little (ok, so maybe paint isn't "a little"), and then selling it to put the profits toward my Chevelle.

My question is, do you think i could get more money for it if i painted it back to its original color, which is a metallic light blue, or to something a little more flashy/something that stands out more?

It is black right now, but i'm not sure whether to put it back to original for those who might be collectors, or if i should paint it a brighter color.

any opinions or suggestions are appreciated.

Im not sure how collectable a 77 vette is but I dont think it is a must have collectable. Not trying to put it down just backing up what Im about to say.
I dont think the light blue would be apealing to many buyers. So I think a flashyer color would net you more cash. But dont go to overboard or you will turn buyer off.
Black is always a winner as long as it is done nice. A nice dark blue like the newer chevy electric blue, Subaru wrx blue, 93 Mopar bahama blue or something simular. Red is always a winner even though Im not a fan. Good luck hope you make some cash

yeah, i know it's probably not real high on a collector's wish list. i guess i was thinking more "enthusiast" than "collector" :hammer:

i'll have to look up some of those paint chips/codes when i get to school tomorrow.

ooops I was wrong on the Mopar color It is 93 Bonzi blue metallic (chrysler)
